About This Site
This is the personal web site of Jørn Støylen, residing in Oslo, Norway, where I work as a graphic designer in a weekly newspaper. I have a strong interest in the Internet, although I haven't had much time to make things myself. Hopefully this site and system will help me realize some of my ideas.
On this site I will publish whatever I find suitable for being published online, in a manner that I hope people will think makes sense. This will be a challenge, since there are many different things I’d like to share with the world.
“Travholt”?
My online name is — and has always been — Travholt, which explains the domain name. Explaining the name itself is a longer and not very interesting story, though.
Textpattern
The background CMS is Textpattern. For the longest time I’ve been doing two things simultaneously: searching for a proper CMS that would suit my needs, and planning to write my own since none of the ones I found seemed to do what I wanted. I had looked at Textpattern a while back, but I didn’t realize its potential then. Now I do. It’s super easy to set up initially, and easy to adapt, too. Highly recommended!
